the folded art of Simon Schubert

These pieces of art were not drawn with pencil or shaded with charcoal. The image is not embossed or traced. Rather, the entire effect is created by a series of skillfully placed folds in the paper.

Artist Simon Schubert has worked for many years to develop this fascinating style of art. “Many |people| think I’ve used paint or pencil to create the affect of light and shade. But when they realize the pictures are actually folded they are quite impressed.” yup.
