mom: helper. friend. caretaker. get-away driver.

Mom. She is always on your side, always there to help.

Last week, a man in Great Falls, Montana called police to report that there was a pile of stuff in his back yard. The items in the pile ranged from a wrapped donut and a bobble-head Jesus to a $1000 set of golf clubs. All told, the pile had more than $3,600 worth of goods.

The man called the police because he believed that his step-son had been involved in a stealing spree of some sort. When the police arrived and began to question people, they learned that the man's concerns were justified.

The police arrested the man's step-son and seven of his friends, ranging from 15 to 18 years old, for stealing multiple items from cars around the city.

As a bonus, the police also arrested the man's wife-- the mother of his step-son. She was the one who drove the kids around and waited for them as they stole the items. She is now facing charges of accountability to theft, accountability to criminal trespass to a vehicle, and endangering the welfare of children.
