It was an impressively horrible attempt at a bank robbery.
Todd Waller Markham recently entered the Washington Federal Savings Bank in Murray, Utah, intending to withdraw money that didn't belong to him. He handed the teller a slip of paper demanding cash.
The teller gave Todd and undisclosed amount of money and Todd escaped, apparently uncaught.
When Todd's note was examined, however, they saw that he had written it on the back of a drug-screening report. The report included Todd's full name, Social-Security number and date of birth.
Police were then able to get Todd's picture through the Utah DMV and compared it with the bank surveillance video. Todd was arrested at his home a short time later.
